Former Tableau Product Chief Launches AI-Powered Golden Analytics Platform

Francois Ajenstat, the longtime product leader behind the rise of Tableau, has emerged from stealth with a new mission: rebuilding business intelligence from the ground up. His Seattle-based startup, Golden Analytics, launched this week with backing from NEA and Madrona Venture Group, aiming to replace "legacy" tools that Ajenstat claims are simply bolting AI onto old frameworks.

Positioning the platform as a mix of Tableau's depth and Canva’s design ease, Golden Analytics allows users to transform raw datasets into polished dashboards in just a few clicks. A central feature is the “slider of autonomy,” a tool that lets analysts choose whether to drive the data exploration themselves or let the AI take the lead.
