Airwallex Secures $320 Million Series H to Scale AI Financial Software

Airwallex has finalized a $320 million Series H financing round, elevating the global payments network to an $11 billion valuation. Led by long-time backer Addition, the oversubscribed round represents a jump from the company's $8 billion valuation in December 2025 and featured heavy institutional participation from firms like T. Rowe Price, Baillie Gifford, and Amex Ventures.

Financial momentum underpins the round, with the company reaching $1.3 billion in annualized revenue in March 2026, representing a 74% year-over-year increase. Annualized transaction volume also jumped more than 120% during the same timeframe to reach $287 billion. Cross-selling efforts have intensified across the borderless infrastructure network, with more than 90% of total revenue now generated by enterprise customers using multiple platform products.

Fresh capital will fund global workforce expansion, regional regulatory footprint extensions, and the deployment of two newly unveiled AI-native financial software initiatives. The first product, an automated bookkeeping, forecasting, and compliance platform called T:0, is currently operating in private beta. The second application, a consumer wallet infrastructure called Airi, embeds localized one-click checkout capabilities that internal tests indicate improved successful digital merchant conversion rates by up to 14%.

Management plans to position this underlying wallet layer to handle delegated agent payments, multi-currency balances, and automated spend limits. The strategic pivot focuses on capturing the emerging market for automated corporate transactions and autonomous financial operations. Airwallex Co-founder and CEO Jack Zhang stated, "The licenses, local network integrations, and settlement rails we spent ten years constructing are precisely the kind of infrastructure it needs."
