Ramp Co-Founder Karim Atiyeh Joins Eric Glyman as Co-CEO

Ramp has promoted Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Karim Atiyeh to Co-CEO alongside Eric Glyman, formalizing a partnership that has shaped two startups over the past 12 years. The leadership change comes weeks after the corporate spend platform raised $750 million at a $44 billion valuation.

Glyman and Atiyeh first founded Paribus, a consumer app that helped shoppers claim retroactive refunds, in 2014. Capital One acquired the startup two years later, and the pair went on to launch Ramp in 2019. “If you know us, this won’t feel like a change,” Glyman wrote, while Atiyeh said the new title “only makes it formal.”

Ramp says the timing reflects how deeply technology now influences company strategy. Atiyeh wrote that product, systems design, and business decisions are increasingly intertwined, while Glyman pointed to rapid improvements in AI as a reason to adjust the leadership structure now.

Rahul Sengottuvelu, previously Ramp’s Head of Applied AI, will succeed Atiyeh as Chief Technology Officer. Sengottuvelu previously served as CTO of Cohere, an AI agent startup Ramp acquired in 2023. The company also named Hamid Dadkhah Head of Engineering.

The executive changes follow Ramp’s push into AI-powered finance tools. In April, it launched a product for tracking corporate AI spending, followed in June by Stack, an AI operating system for accounting firms. The co-CEO structure places one founder closer to product and technology decisions as Ramp tries to turn faster model development into new products and quicker execution.
