When he started the now $160 million construction company GPRS, President and CEO Matt Aston did things unconventionally.

He hired just a handful of people (his friends, mainly), and went "wide" instead of "deep." He'd post as few as one employee in a target city, scattering them around the country. These employees would be tasked with building the company from the ground up, literally.

Yet, it worked. How? Uncapped incentives and the right people, according to Matt.

Now, the company boasts 800 people in 53 cities.
